David Vokey » Tacoma, WA and Sidney, BC
David is a founder, President and Chief Technology Officer of Detec Systems, LLC. He graduated from the Manitoba Institute of Technology in 1969 with a Diploma of Technology in Electronic Technology, the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (Honors) in 1973, and a Master of Engineering Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1984. Prior to co-founding Norscan Instruments Ltd and Detec, David worked for Canada Wire and Cable Ltd from 1973 until 1982, with a final position as the Manager of Design and Development for the Communication Products Division. He worked for Siecor Corporation (now Corning Cable Systems) from 1982 to 1987 as the Manager of R&D Cable Development, responsible for the design and development of fiber optic cables. David holds over thirty five patents worldwide. He is a member of IEEE and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists in both British Columbia and Manitoba.
Duncan Townsend » Tacoma, WA
Duncan is a founder and the Vice President of Detec Systems, LLC. He graduated from Clemson University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wood Utilization, with an emphasis in business. After an employment term with Consolidated Fibers Corporation, Duncan established a career in real estate brokerage, marketing, and land development. He has brokered real estate in the Carolinas since 1982. His entrepreneurial ventures include condominium conversions and property renovations in South Carolina. In 1991, Duncan established the design-build firm, Osprey Construction Company. Duncan's experience in design and construction brings a practitioner's understanding of the moisture problems in buildings. He has achieved the Construction Documents Technologist designation, and he actively serves on the board of directors for the Construction Specifications Institute, Rainier Chapter, and for the Seattle Building Enclosure Council.
John Robinson » Sidney/Vancouver, BC
John joined the Detec team in 2007. As the General Manager of Detec Systems, John brings 30 years of experience in the area of low-voltage system design, installation, and service. Prior to joining Detec, John had a varied career with ADT Security Canada Ltd, specializing in sales, project management, and human resources.
Stefan Elvstad » Tacoma, WA
Stefan serves as Detec's information technology leader and programming expert. In 1976, after a few years of employment at Sweden's most advanced data center, Volvo Data AB, Stefan was hired by Deloitte Haskins & Sells of Sweden. There he provided insight into the computerized files and computer-dependant internal control systems of their clients. In 1989, the Chairman of Deloitte International asked Stefan to form a consulting unit in Sweden to undertake special projects and to facilitate the merger with KPMG. Stefan has continued to advance his knowledge in the design and implementation of computer systems and integrated software platforms.
Brian Dooley » Project Manager » Tacoma, WA
Brian completed a general curriculum degree with emphasis in Architecture and Business Management. He brings to Detec eight years of project management experience combined with a background in CAD drafting, roofing and low-voltage electrical training. Brian has worked closely with Puget Sound Energy, Qwest Communications, and Comcast applying critical analysis, problem solutions, and forward planning in a team effort to coordinate reliable and effective project scheduling. Brian has created electrical designs for custom security, computer network, systems integration and high end theater sound systems. Brian has broad experience with wood and metal framing, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. His expertise includes field modifications in order to assure adherence to high-quality specifications, approved plans, and building code requirements. Brian is committed to strict installation quality assurance.
Walt Jordan » Project Manager » Tacoma, WA
Walt specializes in IntegriScans and LeakLocate System installations on reservoir projects. Walt came to Detec with 27 years experience as a professional carpenter on commercial and residential projects where careful planning and attention to detail were crucial. He has served as the site safety representative in charge of safety policy establishment and enforcement. Walt’s professionalism, practical knowledge and attitude make him an important team member.
Dan Hesketh » Project Technician » Bellingham, WA
Dan brings 29 years of construction experience to the Detec team. He joined the company in 2005 and he has extensive experience in providing Waterproof Membrane IntegriScans, installing LeakLocate Systems and Automated Moisture Detection Monitoring Systems. His knowledge of the building/trade industry makes him an excellent team member.

Linda Kabrich » Sales » Tacoma, WA
Linda has worked in the construction industry for the last six years. Before coming to Detec Systems she was a Regional Business Development Manager for Professional Service Industries, Inc (PSI). Her responsibilities were to increase revenue by selling construction materials testing and special inspection services to construction managers, developers, owners, general contractors and architects. She began as the Business Development Coordinator and was promoted to Associate within six months and Regional Manager within a year and a half managing two branch offices in Washington State. Prior to her career in the construction industry, Linda spent 22 years in the medical field as a Medical Professional Recruiter.
Heather Crone » Sales/Administration » Sidney, BC
Heather Crone has over 25 years accounting and administrative experience in the aviation industry throughout British Columbia and Alberta. She has held the position of Office Manager for many companies overseeing all accounting and data entry functions, daily operations of the office and training and supervising staff in financial systems including payroll. Heather has been with Detec Systems from the beginning and for the past two years has been a key player in sales, having established many clients for Detec Systems throughout British Columbia.
