ACADEMY OF SCIENCES BUILDING Nearly 10 years and $500 million dollars in the making, the new Academy of Sciences building is a masterpiece in sustainable architecture, blending seamlessly into the park's natural setting, and is filled with hundreds of innovative exhibits and thousands of extraordinary plants and animals. The Academy is now the largest public Platinum-rated building in the world, and also the world’s greenest museum. The Academy earned the platinum rating (highest rating possible) for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). |

NEW AMAZON CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS Amazon has agreed to lease up to 1.6 million square feet in up to 11 new buildings to be constructed by developers Vulcan and Schnitzer West In Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. Construction on the first four buildings is underway and all 11 should be ready for occupancy in 2010 and 2011. |
BEACON HILL RESERVOIR The new 50-million-gallon Beacon Hill underground reservoir is now complete, and city workers are preparing for the next phase of the project, turning the reclaimed ground into 26 new acres of park land. The two-year, $39.6 million Beacon Hill Reservoir covering project will be followed by a one-year, $8 million reconstruction of Jefferson Park, taking advantage of the new land made available by putting the reservoir underground. Detec will monitor for leaks in the reservoir lid. |

ATRIUM BUILDING Rounding out a spot in downtown Victoria, B.C., the seven-story, 200,000 square-foot Atrium building will soon house major tenants including the B.C. Ferry Corporation and B.C. Land Title & Survey, as well as a collection of businesses. |

CALGARY COURTS CENTRE Calgary Courts Centre will be a tremendous addition to downtown Calgary, with 1 million square feet of modern architectural design from world-renowned designer, Carlos Ott. The project features the development of two court towers on government-owned land between 6th and 7th Avenue and between 5th and 6th Street S.W. The construction of the west block of the Calgary Courts Centre is complete, and future development of the adjacent east block will see a large underground public parkade and a vibrant urban park. |

OLYMPIC CAULDRON, A water feature is being installed beneath the 2010 Winter Olympics Cauldron in an effort to keep people and the cauldron a safe distance from eachother. Detec will be installed under the water feature to ensure that the waterproof membrane will continue to protect the building below. |

CBC REGIONAL BROADCAST CENTRE After almost three years of construction and renos, the makeover of the 246,000-square-foot CBC/Radio Canada Broadcast Centre in downtown Vancouver is nearly completed. |

DOCKSIDE GREEN Dockside Green is a visionary project at the forefront of global urban planning being jointly developed by Vancity and a local Victoria company, Windmill West. It will rehabilitate and revitalize a former industrial site while respecting the environment and the communities that surround it such as the First Nations people whose ancestors originally inhabited the area, local residents, and the hundreds of local workers making it a reality. By 2015, Dockside Green will be comprised of one million square feet of mixed-use buildings with a focus on ecological, social and economic responsibility. The project features numerous one-of-a-kind components that are aligned with this philosophy, many of which are firsts in North America and even in the World |

FEDERAL CENTER PLAZA Stimulus funds are paying for a makeover at Chicago's Federal Plaza that will make an underground postal facility more green. Work on the $27 million project has begun. The plaza serves as a roof for the sub-plaza levels of the three surrounding buildings. The restoration will require installation of a new waterproofing and thermal insulation system of which Detec will be a component. Workers will replace waterproofing material, add insulation and repair damaged caused by water leaks below the granite tile surface. |

THE HUDSON The Hudson is a comprehensive rehabilitation of the historic Hudson's Bay building - converting this once grand department store into intelligently designed, modern flats, double-height lofts and magnificent penthouses. Phase I of The Hudson is underway. It will introduce about 150 new residential units to downtown Victoria, at market prices and sales are well underway. |

MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL Detec will be involved in a planned expansion at Massachusetts General Hospital, where a new, 500,000 square foot health care facility will be built on the Boston campus. Plans include an expanded oncology department, new emergency services and new operating suites. |

NEW NINTENDO BUILDING Nintendo has completed construction of a new office building complex at 4500 150th Ave NE in Redmond. The new building is 275,250 sq. ft with 820 parking stalls, and includes offices, an auditorium, a cafeteria, and exercise facility. |

NISGA'A MUSEUM Nisga'a Lisims Government is building the Nisga'a Museum in the village of Laxgalts'ap, 150 kilometres northwest of Terrace. This landmark facility will provide a home for returning Nisga'a artifacts, a place for sharing traditions and ideas, and a venue for showcasing a rich and resurgent culture. |

PALOMAR WEST HOSPITAL Dubbed the "hospital of the future," this $917 million project is currently the largest health care project in California. It is 22 stories tall and is 789,293 square feet. Palomar West is the first major medical facility to be built in North San Diego County in 30 years.
